Hump day...

Finished the second of the McCarthy books, Stella Maris, today. Interesting read. Had the feeling before I’d even finished The Passenger, the works were a dying man’s last attempt to understand his own mortality. There’s more to it than that. Together they were a great reach into the working of the human mind, but neither had the heart or soul of his earlier works. This isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy them, immensely, on many levels, but I’m not certain I’d need to read them again. We’ll see.

Microsoft word is giving me great troubles, so the writing was held to a minimum today. JS says he’ll drop by on Friday to try and get things back on track, but until then I’m hamstrung.

Had a good workout at the gym today, and I nice stroll through the neighborhood later this afternoon. Everything’s coming to life! Clouds moved in later this afternoon keeping things cool, but I’m hoping for rain this evening, if that isn’t being too greedy.

Letter to write tomorrow. Need to apply for my new fishing license, too. Repair the back patio after the plumber fiasco.
